In 2023 , several OMS missionaries were promoted to glory . We now honor and remember those missionaries who served with distinction for 10 years or more .
Richard ( Dick ) Brown was accepted as an OMS missionary in 1973 and served for 14 years . He spent two years in Haiti as a news journalist through OMS ’ Missionary Internship program . Then Dick and his wife , Connie , served in OMS ’ mission advancement administration and career guidance ministry . After this , they were Northwest mission representatives for OMS .
Frank Gorsline and his wife , Lyonie , started their OMS ministry in Brazil . In 1972 , they transferred to OMS ’ World Headquarters ( HQ ) to lead career guidance and youth ministries . Under Frank and Lyonie ’ s direction , more than 4,000 young people visited mission fields around the world . Frank had 27 fruitful years of ministry with OMS .
Katherine ( Kathy ) Heinrich and her husband , Os , began their OMS missionary journey in Haiti . They ministered with Radio 4VEH and Bethesda Medical Center , and they served on several committees . In 1982 , they transitioned to HQ . Kathy worked in the mailroom , data processing , administration , and hospitality . The Heinrichs retired after 42 years of faithful service .
