The idea for Terra Sage Mercantile came to Carrie Rae Woodburn three years ago when she was contemplating the compelling notion of “ the aesthetic of how we live our life in every setting .” Why not create a space that brought together all aspects of her professions — artist , spiritual practitioner , leadership — in order to offer community events and classes , “ places to share experiences . It ’ s so much more than a place to come and shop , it ’ s a place to come and connect .”
Visitors to Laguna Canyon ’ s Terra Sage Mercantile — like Woodburn ’ s charming Sawdust Festival booth and home studio , all shared with her husband , the artist Andrew Soliz , who owns Tatankamani Woodworks , the woodshop next door — will find her soulful leatherwork and jewelry , as well as her curated collection of home décor , vintage clothing and an artists ’ collective .
