NORFOLK ROOTS ON A ROYAL STAGE:
FORAS BRINGS HEAD FOR FLOWERS TO RHS SANDRINGHAM AND RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOWS
Norfolk-based Foras debuts a landmark display at the RHS Sandringham Flower Show- a celebration of local craftsmanship, rich Norfolk history, and the county’ s finest horticultural talent.
The RHS Sandringham Flower Show is coming to Norfolk for the first time, and Foras is making sure the county rises to the occasion. The event will feature the RHS Royal Legacy Garden, designed by His Majesty King Charles III in collaboration with awardwinning garden designer Catherine MacDonald.
“ This show is a landmark moment for Norfolk,” says Claire Brutnall, Managing Director of Foras.“ We wanted the Head for Flowers display to do the county justice- not just as a garden, but as a genuine reflection of who we are and what we produce here. Every stone, plant, piece of sculpture, water feature and garden building has a local story behind it.”
Foras, the Stow Bridge based water feature, garden accessory and tile & flagstone experts will present Head for Flowers, a display garden area that draws inspiration from the county’ s Bronze Age heritage, its rose growing legacy, and the skills of some of Norfolk’ s most respected makers, growers, and designers.
A Garden Built by Norfolk, For Norfolk Head for Flowers will be built from the ground up by local talent. The garden’ s lifestyle building was designed and constructed by Grocott & Murfit, while plants and trees come from Rachael’ s Plant Outlet. Feature planting is by garden designer Chris Deakin, with sculptures designed by sculptor Jasmine Bradbury, developed by Foras from her original drawings.
The result is a space that feels rooted in place, contemporary in design, but unmistakably Norfolk in character and history.
