4 . Clean your shed and greenhouse Chances are your shed and greenhouse may have the odd cobweb in there after not being used over the winter so it ’ s a good idea to give them a good clean before you get back out for Spring and Summer .
If you ’ re feeling ambitious you could even give your shed a new coat of paint to brighten it up !
5 . Clean your garden furniture Whether you leave it out or store it away you ’ ll want to give your garden furniture a good clean before using it again .
Soap and warm water will generally remove most dirt but if you find your furniture has grime or other stains on then try mixing baking soda with some warm water . Apply this with a sponge to the furniture and then rise off with some warm water .
6 . Clean the patio Cleaning the patio is often a job that ’ s avoided but you ’ d be surprised by how much of a difference it ’ ll make to the look of your garden once clean .
Pressure washers are a great solution but another great tip is to mix together a cleaning solution that is made up of vinegar and water and let it sit on the patio for around 20 minutes . Scrub it off with a heavy duty brush .
7 . General maintenance While you ’ re at it take a look around for any general maintenance that may need doing . Perhaps one of your fence panels needs repairing or you have a couple of pesky uneven slabs that need sorting ?
8 . Clean your tools Before you get back into the swing of gardening , spend some time cleaning your tools and try to keep this up throughout the year . Giving them a quick clean once in a while is much easier to maintain than if you were to let the dirt on them build up .
