GARDEN DESIGN
Spiritually Garden , the feedback was :
“ It ’ s a lovely garden but we need to keep our visitors interested for 45 minutes . Have you ever thought of getting some seating to slow people down ”.
I ’ d always admired the concept of garden swing seats , but I was unable to find any that would do my garden justice .
So , I returned to my roots as an Indentured Carpenter and Joiner , and applied some Feng Shui principles to a US blueprint of a swing seat design . From this , came the first ever Sitting Spiritually Swing Seat , which still sits proudly in our garden today .
Naturally , this is where our garden gets its name , and our seats are now showcased in it ’ s grounds . We ’ re open to visitors all year round , so get in touch if you ’ d like to arrange a visit .
What Makes The Sitting Spiritually Garden Design So Special ?
Sensory Stimulation
It was never about making a superficially attractive space . Celia and I wanted a landscape that stimulated all of our senses . The sweeping lawn is a combination of quality turf and careful maintenance , with layers of planting in deep borders that create a dynamic garden just bursting with interest , colour , and scent .
Shortly after , Dave arrived with a fairly ancient land rover towing a digger , as well as various bits and tools . Gradually , terraces , wide borders , and even water features began to take shape . The garden then slowly began to be filled with plants and foliage that we selected .
