GARDEN DESIGN

EXPERT GARDEN ADVICE

When my wife Celia and I moved into Bramble Hayes on 1st May 1998 , we had no idea how significant the paddock behind the house would become .
This paddock was about a third of an acre and sloped steeply down , facing south westerly . Upon moving into our new home , Celia and I made an agreement : Celia is in charge of the interior design , and I was in charge of the garden !
So , I asked the builder of the house to just leave the paddock area as it was . Why ? I ’ d always wanted to landscape my own garden and create it from nothing .
Dave and Ed Brooks
Ed Brooks , the eldest son of our family friend , Dave , had just graduated as a landscape architect . So , he prepared a design that factored in the slope of the garden and made the most of the borrowed view .
