A pierced stainless steel entrance gate and slots in the
cedar partition walls offer tantalising glimpses through
the garden, from the street to the river.
Structural planting includes pleached whitebeams (sorbus
aria) and a strategic tamarisk for screening and privacy.
In more sheltered parts of the garden a scented camellia
hedge (camellia sasanqua Hinode Gumo), multi-stem crab
apples (malus Evereste) and a choice magnolia delavayi
reflect the horticultural heritage of the southwest.
