Solution We were contracted by Rocon Contractors LTD , based in Bramley , to resurface the car park ‘ islands ’ and tree pits .
SureSet resin bound paving was chosen as the best surface to help improve the issues of drainage and surface water and to address the irregularities of the trees root levels . Excess soil from around the root clusters was removed and many of the small protruding roots were , as safely as possible , trimmed back before our permeable resin bound paving was skilfully laid up around the trunks .

Result The new speed ramps help smooth traffic flow for the safety for both pedestrians and drivers . The electric car charging spaces fully support the sustainability part of the brief .
Relocating the parent and child parking allocation nearer to amenities provides families with safer access to the town centre and park .
SureSet resin bound paving improves the drainage and surface water issues in the car park by allowing rainwater to flow through the paving instead of running off onto the car park surface .
224m ² at a depth of 18mm using 6mm Cappuccino ( with a permeable asphalt base ) and 148m ² at a depth of 30mm using 6mm FlexiSet Bronze ( with a Type 3 base ).
