hours . I started using Photoshop in 1991 and thank Adobe and Steve Jobs every day for making the artistic life that I now enjoy every day possible . In my graphic design jobs , working for Silicon Valley companies , I often saw Steve Jobs at Whole Foods in Palo Alto , standing in line in front of me buying a double espresso ( like me ) early in the a . m . on our ways to work .
For this special edition of LandEscape we have selected your Landscapes series , an Interesting project that our readers have already started to get to know in the introductory pages of this article . What has at once captured our attention of your captivating investigation about the notion of landscape is the way you provided the visual results of your analysis with autonomous aesthetics : while walking our readers through the genesis of Landscapes series , would you like to tell us something about your usual process and set up ?
My usual process for my Landscape ( Woodless Woodcut ) series is to first and foremost , get out into nature , flee urban life and escape into the solace of wilderness . My early years were spent in New York City where I went to elementary school in Harlem , then a gritty uptown neighborhood . The “ Projects ” had just been built in my area - 20 story high rise brick buildings filled with the Black and Latino families that had been moved out when the tenements some of them had previously lived in were demolished for this large scale urban renewal project .
My father was a college and university professor in New York City , and as such
