Cassava Pone Cake
"Cassava, a tropicl startchy , root vegetable, is covered with a bark-like flesh is white and hard. This desert is very poplar."
2 medium sweet cassava
1 small dried coconut
1/2cup sugar
1/2 tsp. allspice, salt, and vanilla extract
2 cups water
1. Peel, wash and grate Cassava. Grate cocnut. Mix both with butter.
2. Add sugar, spice, salt and vanilla extract. Mix well. Add enough water to bind mixture
3. bake in shallow, greased 20 cm square pan at 350 F for about 1-1/2 hours. The top should be brown and crisp. Cut in 5 cm squares before serving.
