Leadership Lakeville: Investing in our Changemakers
Strong communities don’ t happen by accident— they are built by people who are willing to lead, collaborate, and invest in the future.
That’ s the purpose behind Leadership Lakeville, a unique professional development program offered by the Lakeville Chamber, and our program partner, the City of Lakeville.
Leadership Lakeville is a nine-month experience that brings together emerging and established professionals from a variety of industries and backgrounds.
Through interactive sessions, community tours, discussions, and leadership development activities, participants gain a deeper understanding of the people, organizations, and systems that make Lakeville successful. The program is designed to strengthen leadership skills while creating meaningful connections among future community leaders.
What makes Leadership Lakeville especially important is its focus on local engagement. Participants receive a behind-the-scenes look at businesses, schools, government, public safety, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, and other key sectors that
shape the community. Along the way, they meet local leaders, learn about community challenges and opportunities, and discover ways they can make a difference.
The benefits extend far beyond the classroom. Graduates leave with expanded professional networks, stronger leadership abilities, and a greater commitment to the Lakeville community. Many go on to serve on boards and committees, volunteer with local organizations, mentor others, and take on leadership roles within their workplaces and community groups.
For employers, Leadership Lakeville is an investment in talent development and employee growth. For the community, it helps create a pipeline of informed, engaged leaders who understand the importance of collaboration and civic involvement. The program aligns closely with the Chamber’ s mission to support workforce development, professional growth, and economic vitality throughout Lakeville.
