Steve’ s career began with Marriott, where he worked in multiple locations before settling in Lakeville in 1996. His journey at Brackett’ s started as a catering manager, but his vision and dedication quickly led to his promotion as General Manager. Under his leadership, the club has grown in both membership and reputation, with memorable events and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
Beyond Brackett’ s, Steve is actively involved in the community, serving as a Rotarian, Chamber Board member, and leader in the Club Managers of America. WELCOME NEW TEACHERS! Each fall we welcome our new teachers with reusable grocery bags full of trinkets, gift cards and treasures. Members can donate useful items, with your logo of course, that are included in those gift bags.
VISITORS AND FUTURE RESIDENTS Visit Lakeville promotes our local hospitality businesses to residents and visitors. Businesses can be listed on the website, on our brochures and guides, be featured in sweepstakes and social media, and more including partnerships with Explore Minnesota, Weddings of Lakeville, and area attractions.

With over 100 events throughout the year, members can attach their logo and their brand to the Chamber event( s) where people in their target audience are in attendance. Attendance optional!

FEBRUARY: Our time to celebrate, look to the future, and honor some member businesses and individuals who are making an impact in the Lakeville community.
Landscape, Home & Community Expo
MARCH: Over 150 local businesses from home improvement to health and wellness spend the day connecting with residents about their products and services. In 2025 we added a Young Entrepreneur Section( YES!) for budding business owners under 17 to sell their products and services during the show.
Suds for Scholars
APRIL: Beer and wine sampling from 20 local brewers and wineries, hot and hearty apps, and fun raffle prizes. 100 % of ticket sales go to fund scholarships.
Bowl for Education
SEPTEMBER: Bring a team to this night of bowling, food, and prizes, to fundraise for our work in teacher recognition, student support, and more.
Women’ s Symposium
NOVEMBER: A day of development, shopping, connections, inspiration, prizes, treats and more. We have motivational speakers and a local business expo.
