F E AT U R E New Laureate Park Waterfront Restaurant and Market to Open this Fall You can’t beat a family meal. One of the best ways to connect with loved ones is around the table, sharing good food and conversation. Of course, some days only allow for a quick bite – or maybe just coffee and a yogurt on your way to drop the kids off in the morning. Thankfully, Lake Nona residents will soon be able to experience plenty of new ways to eat well – in our very own community. Currently under construction near the Laureate Park Aquatic Center and future fitness facilities is an original-concept restaurant and market developed by Atlanta-based Concentrics Restaurants, the brains behind Winter Park’s Prato and Luma. Our new restaurant will be one of Central Florida’s only waterfront dining experiences with an adjacent coffee shop and market, where both food and a rotating collection of curated products, home goods and locally made merchandise will abound. For starters, the new restaurant will feature a chic 300-seat dining room overlooking beautiful water views. Picture yourself sipping a handcrafted cocktail on the outdoor terrace or enjoying a casual dinner with friends in the dining room. The food at this yet-to-benamed restaurant will be a conversation starter in itself. Dinner will be made with locally sourced ingredients. Chef-driven American dishes, from innovative culinary creations to house-made burgers and wild-caught seafood, will be inspired by the best of the season. It’s all about freshness and flavor, and having a place to take it all in with family and friends. For those days when you’re in a time crunch, a market at the entrance to the restaurant will offer convenient meal options that you can grab and take with you on the go. Imagine delicious coffee, freshly assembled salads, hot breakfast sandwiches, and specialty entrées to serve when you get home from a long day. Another exciting feature: a community table where you can sit and sip a latté or tea with your neighbors. Both the restaurant and market are set to open later this year as part of the award-winning Tavistock Restaurant Collection portfolio, which features 14 fine dining restaurant brands across the U.S., including the recently opened and critically acclaimed Atlas (atlasrestaurant.com) in Atlanta’s prestigious Buckhead community.
