The goals of the program are to understand the rules of lacrosse, active teamwork, sportsmanship and foster personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. IGLA has adopted the US Lacrosse ‘Player First’ Athlete Development Model which means smaller fields and a smaller number of players. Kids are more engaged, get more touches on the ball and further develop their skills. IGLA offers two levels of play during the Spring; Pink and Purple. Pink teams practice once a week, Purple teams practice twice a week and may travel more for games. If considering Purple, players must first attend an assessment.
