SEASONAL SPRAYING PROGRAM
Roadside spraying activities are about to
commence, targeting woody vegetation
(brush), noxious weeds, and prohibited
noxious weeds throughout the County.
The Spray Program’s launch date of
MAY 21, 2019 is dependent upon the
weather and, by association, plant
staging. Ag Services crews will continue
spraying activities until September.
Requests for additional herbicide
application inside property owners’ fence
lines will be considered upon signed
agreement. Custom spraying bookings
are filling up fast. Property owners
interested in having custom spray work
completed on their property are advised
to call Ag Services.
Those who wish to not have roadside
right of ways adjacent to their property
sprayed may choose to opt out of this
program. If you wish to do so, please
submit a No Spray Agreement to the
County before the spray program begins
MAY 21, 2019. Forms are available at
the County office, or downloadable from
the municipal website.

Ag Services team gave Classroom
Agriculture Presentations to grade 4

JUNE 3, 2019. Agricultural Services is

recognizing this group as a strong
community tie for many families in the
area. Swing by the 4-H Achievement Day
in Mayerthorpe for a free bowl of chili and
a glimpse of the 4-H members’ excellent
showmanship skills. While there, you
may also decide to fill your freezer with
some locally-raised beef or lamb.
