Artifacts in La Vernia Boys Basketball
• Style as Embodied in Clothing
• Team Shirts will be produced periodically and will reinforce the
stated values of our program.
• Shirts used for fundraising or for general purchase should also
incorporate key aspects that relate to the culture we are
seeking to create within our program.
• Observable Rituals and Ceremonies
• We will work with the Cheerleading Coach to develop new
cheers and develop an identity for our “Student Section”
• Similar to college basketball, our players will be expected to
thank the Student Section and fans after the game
• The tradition of singing the Alma Mater, along with fans after
every home game should be considered
• This is in addition to current traditions of Senior Night,
Homecoming etc.
• Myths and Stories about the Organization
• The history of La Vernia Boys Basketball should continue to be
researched and memorialized online and a central location for
past trophies and awards should continue to be developed.
• The use of enhanced graphics to emphasis the history of the
program should be used and should be a coordinated effort
with the girls basketball program.
