Study Every Day. If you can spare one hour a day, break it into 3 or 4 sessions to avoid brain overload. 2. Review Regularly. Go over the same lesson many times. Have gaps between study periods, to give your brain time to digest material. 3. Learn a new phrase every day. The key to learning a language is remembering 2000 or so basic words and phrases. 4. Take your time becoming comfortable with the basic foundations before tackling advanced material. Once you have a handle on the basics, the harder stuff will be easy to master. 5. Learn to speak/read/write about things that interest you, giving you a better chance at remembering words and phrases. 6. Don’t be discouraged by lack of progress. When you are learning a new language, it is normal to feel like you are sometimes going backward. 7. Make mistakes. Even if your speech is poor, take every advnatage to use new words and phrases. The more you use the language, the quicker you will become fluent.
