DO THE STINGRAY SHUFFLE WHEN ENTERING
THE PACIFIC WATERS OF PANAMA

Located in Coronado on Roberto Eisemann Dr
M
uch like the shuffle made
popular by LMFAO, the
stingray shuffle involves sliding
your feet along the floor.
Shuffling your feet when
entering the ocean acts as a
warning to creatures like
stingrays that enjoy hanging out
in shallow shoreline waters.
You may look silly, but dragging
your feet instead of stepping
down hard can protect you from
a painful sting.
If you are stung, the best
remedy is to soak the affected
area in very hot water for about
an hour. The heat will help
relieve the pain. If a stingray
leaves a part of it’s barbed tail
behind, head to the emergency
room. Do not try and remove it
yourself.

emergencia. No trate de removerla
por sí mismo.
