Instrumentos musicales hechos arte para
interpretar ritmos y sonidos del mundo

Calderón, bumangués amante de la
música y de los instrumentos musicales,
desde hace 15 años se ha dedicado a la
investigación y recopilación de información, para hacer reproducciones de
instrumentos para interpretar el folklor
del mundo, la música antigua, y explorar
la musicoterapia y vibropterapia. Como
un de sus hobbies en su taller elabora
guitarras, cuatros, bajos, arpas y cajas
musicales, con la dedicación necesaria y
talento para esculpir la madera, que luego es pintada, decorada con texturas y
colores, jamás antes pensados para finalizar en este tipo de instrumentos.
En su stand, presente en Expoartesanías, los visitantes podrán encontrar
guitarras hechas en madera, que cambian
su forma clásica y que transformadas por
este artista en guitarras viajeras con conceptos y diseños diferentes del arte pop.

Corferias, in association with Artesanías de Colombia, has organized Expoartesanías, an event that has become
the platform to find the best indigenous
and afro-Colombian crafts expression.
Through the offer of products made
with natural raw materials and elaborated with native traditional techniques,
this event has allowed the Colombian
craftsmen and the participating countries to promote an commercialize their
job in a national and international level,
consolidating this crafts fair as the first
of their type in Latin America.
For their 21st edition, that will take
place between the 7th and the 20th of
December, Expoartesanías will continue
with their first objective: command the
craft product TREND in the market,
involving among these the quality and
design. Once more, Corferias will be the
scenario in which the most outstanding
crafts work in Colombia and the world
will be exhibited, promoted and commercialized.
International Participation at Expoartesanías 2011
During 14 days, the crafts from Colombia, México, Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador, Perú, Chile, Argentina,
Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay, India, Irán,
Vietnam, Indonesia, Polonia and Pakistán will be represented in 8 rooms that
Corferias has given for the exhibitors of
the 17 participant countries of Expoartesanías 2011.
Argentina will participate for their
first time with a new crafts sample representative of their indigenous culture.
Ecuador will display decorative items in
ceramic and wood, textiles and jewelry
in gold and silver, among other materials. Another country with a strong
representation is Bolivia, where participants bring leather goods, copper, tin
and various natural fibers.
From the Far East craftsmen come
from Iran, Vietnam, Poland, India, Indonesia and Pakistan, who will sample
the best of your jewelry and textile work.
Mexico also will be present for the
Jalisco Institute of Crafts, entity promote crafts in ceramics representative
of the state of Jalisco and also liaise to
strengthen cultural exchange and craft
between Colombia and Mexico. Also,
Cofoco entity that promotes the products in barrels of wood, glass and metal
work from Guanaju
