In August 2021 , the Los Angeles Metro Contractor Development and Bonding Program ( CDABP ) held a special event for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises ( DVBE ), featuring a presentation about the CDABP and its commitment to helping DVBEs . Two DVBE contractors currently enrolled in the program – Ron Escobar of Escobar Construction and Gene Hale of G & C Equipment Corporation – discussed their experiences and how participating in CDABP has helped grow their business capacity . A panel of business organizations supporting veterans , including the Veterans in Business ( VIB ) Network , U . S .
