NAMC-SC ANNUAL LEADERSHIP AWARDS GALA
On November 9 , 2023 , the National Association of Minority Contractors – Southern California Chapter ( NAMC-SoCal ) presented MWIS CEO Ingrid Merriwether with the organization ’ s “ Arnice Lamb ” Champion of Diversity Award at its 27th Annual Leadership Gala in Los Angeles .

In bestowing the award , NAMC-SoCal cited in part Ms . Merriwether ’ s many years of work to establish the Los Angeles Regional Contractor Development and Bonding Program , which helps small , local and diverse contractors get the necessary training and support to compete for public works construction contracts in the Los Angeles region .
Other participants included Gene Hale , CEO of G & C Equipment Corporation ; Sharon Coleman , president of Coleman Construction and president of the NAMC-SoCal board of directors ; and Holley Joy , program manager , supplier diversity , at Liberty Utilities , and mistress of ceremonies for the gala event .
