What in your experience are the three top motivational things companies can do to engage their workforce .
Engaging the workforce is a challenging task - and more so in today ' s scenario where attention and attachment spans are so short lived . There is no onesize-fits-all approach , and a company may often have to tailor their initiatives to match the needs of different teams based on demographics , preferences , roles , and the aspirations .
Having said that , there are 3 main focus areas around which an employer must design and develop their engagement initiatives :
This cannot be emphasized enough . A culture where employees are comfortable speaking about the good and the bad , and know that they are a crucial part of the decision making process , will see a lot more engagement from their teams . Organizations need to develop mechanisms to actively ( and passively ) listen to what their people are feeling and thinking . The other important side to this area is communicating with your people and being transparent with them .
