Another hurdle in creating a culture of recognition is the lack of time of the top management to invest in people . Business requirements will always take priorities over people agenda and hence it is up to the CEOs and HR Leaders of the organization on how they get top management involved in this .

The third hurdle which I can think of is the lack of training and education among the leaders on recognition giving . This can be overcome by creating a learning program and integrating that to the existing management training program . The fourth hurdle is the hierarchy structure of the organization where the managers feel that they are not empowered to giving recognitions to their team members and need management ’ s permission to do that every time . Corporate Leaders need to unshackle these chains and personally set examples for others .
