We, my mom, my grandma and I left home at 6:45 and reached Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector 12, Dwarka, New Delhi, where the event was going to be held. I came out of the car and looked around, everyone was looking fantastic. After a while, everyone noticed me and walked straight to me. I was very happy after hearing their nice compliments such as,“ You are looking awesome!!!”,“ You look so pretty!”,“ Gorgeous“, etc … After listening to those compliments, I was quite satisfied. My teachers said that I was actually looking like the speaker of the Parliament. After that we entered the school. I noticed many other school students. Our escort teachers were Ms. Neelam Kaur, Ms. Ratna Pathak, Ms. Nisha Gupta, Ms. Sonia Pandey and Mr. Sailender Pratap. Our cell phones were taken away by Nisha Ma’ am because mobile phones were not allowed. Neelam Ma’ am informed us that our performance is going to be the first one. Ratna Ma’ am distributed the shoulder numbers. to all the students. We arranged everything but had to wait 1 hour, only because of the chief guest. He was late. His name was Mr. Om Prakash Yadav and he was a Member of Parliament from Siwan, Bihar, for the party BJP. After one hour, he arrived. The opening ceremony started and ended shortly. Our performance began. I was a little nervous, but my best friend Rohit, who was the Marshal, helped me and told me to take it easy. The Obituary was perfect, leader of opposition and PM spoke very well. Then the question hour began, it was not that much good. Some students skipped their lines. Zero hour was good. Foreign delegation and calling attention was fantastic. Legislative business, which is the most important part of the Youth Parliament, was very nice. Vidhi, my friend, was the social welfare minister, her speech was very long and she had learnt it by heart. She was very good. After that our performance ended. Everyone did very well, including me. After that we all went down stairs in for the lunch. Our Escorts told us that 6 best speakers were going to be selected and would be awarded. And you know what! I too, had been selected and got the 1st prize and my bestie Vidhi got the 3rd one. We both were very happy. We clicked hundreds of selfies. My mommy was very happy after seeing my trophy! This was the best day and I will remember this till the end of my life.
