Sierra Leone continues to experience tremendous transformation in its path to development under President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, who continues to steer the affairs of Sierra Leone after being re-elected for the second time. In his first term as President, Dr. Koroma mapped out his vision for Sierra Leone through his‘ Agenda for Change’, which produced positive results in areas of electricity generation, agriculture, infrastructure and some progress in other social delivery systems. Of course, there remains more work to be done.
In his second term the President has put forward his extended plan, a continuation of his Agenda for Change, which is‘ The Agenda for Prosperity’.
In his clarion call, the President has asked every Sierra Leonean and all stakeholders to join him to implement his Agenda for Prosperity, which he spelled out in his address at the State Opening of Parliament. We should all be active participants directly or indirectly in this process. What we do for our people in Sierra Leone, whether by helping to alleviate poverty, or improving education and health, all play a part in the development of Sierra Leone.
Sierra Leone is undergoing a catalytic metamorphosis. We have seen visible signs and achievements under President Ernest Bai Koroma in areas of infrastructure, energy, health, education and the economy. He has stated it over and over again his government’ s commitment to bring back the glory of Sierra Leone and make it a prosperous nation. His promise to bring his government’ s projects to fruition was carried out; his promise to remove impediments and pave the

Indeed, the government of President Ernest Bai Koroma is seen as a

In order to implement the‘ Agenda for Prosperity’ of President Ernest Bai
Koroma, there is an urgent need for leaders of integrity, who are ready to join the President as the boat leaves the shores sailing to the horizon. All functionaries in government, public offices, the private sector, small scale businesses, and all Sierra Leoneans should remember that at this crucial and critical time of Sierra Leone’ s development, it is not about position, or personal interest but credibility and production; it is not the education we get, but the empowerment we give that makes a difference to others; the contributions we make to change the lives of people; and the provision of economic opportunities and empowerment to help improve our people’ s standard of living. Remember as leader, government official, business person, private citizen, educator, and whatever position you hold in society,
