Our Snowbirds are Heading Back

Brother Knights: Our snowbirds are heading back
and we are in the home stretch of our fraternal year!
When time allows, take a moment to pray and reflect
on your activities planned this spring and how we
plan to support our seminarians, parishes and the
Culture of Life.
Ask yourself if any effort is being made to engage
your members and families to participate in our
programs? Taking a small time-out with a little
prayer and reflection, we can think of who we can
invite to participate: a new member or perhaps a
potential member? Here are some ways we can
solidify our Faith Lives and regenerate our
membership at the same time:
RSVP (REFUND SUPPORT VOCATIONS PROGRAM)
Brothers, how are you and your Councils supporting
our future priests in concrete spiritual and financial
ways? As they prepare for the priesthood, we can
demonstrate our support for their vocations through
prayer (Vocation Prayer cards are available), letters
of support, mass intentions and visits. Many
Councils invite seminarians to our meetings and
events and sponsor their KoC Membership Fees.
As the fraternal year winds down, what can you do
to support our seminarians? Do not forget about the
RSVP program, which rebates $100 for every $500
donated. Even if your parish or diocese does not
have a seminarian, keep in mind our future priests
have to come from somewhere and we can help you
locate seminarians to support.
CULTURE OF LIFE:
As you read this bulletin, Councils, Assemblies and
Squire Circles across Ontario will have marked the
Annual Day of the Unborn Child with special masses
and prayer services on Tuesday March 25th
(Feast of the Annunciation).
In less than 2 months, Knights across the province
will be joining thousands of people for the Annual
March for Life on Thursday May 8, 2014. Last year
we witnessed record attendance between 19,50020,000 of youth, families and Knights making a
statement for Life on Parliament Hill.
