T

his is the forte of the students
at SIMSR. They are constantly
provided
with
many
opportunities to showcase their
talent. One of the best platforms
which facilitates this was the
event from the Public Relations
Committee, Spriha. It was
conducted on 7th September,
2014 on a massive scale. The
students from various renowned
colleges were all set to present
their work that they had done
during their summer internship.
This event witnessed many
dignitaries from various sectors
of the industry.

After experiencing the initial
screening rounds, six students got an opportunity
to present their summer internship projects in front
of the industry experts. The entries were from
prestigious colleges such as IIM Trichy, NITIE
Mumbai, TISS Mumbai, GIM Goa, VJTI Mumbai
and KJ SIMSR Mumbai. The projects done by the
students spanned various specializations such as
Finance,
Marketing,
Operations,
Human
Resources and Retail. Evaluation of the projects
was done on the basis of many parameters such as
the knowledge about the subject matter, time
management, the individual contribution and the
learnings and recommendation from the students'
side to their respective organizations.

Spriha was a brilliant display of well-researched,
concise and innovative projects. The students
showcased their two month internship journey by
means of lucid presentations. The judges had a
tough time in selecting the best amongst all of
them. After thorough evaluation, the first prize was
bagged by Gauri Paranjpe from SIMSR and the
second spot was bagged by Amjad Ali from NITIE.
It was a great pleasure in having esteemed
dignitaries like Mr. Rajiv Wadhwa who is the Brand
Services Partner with Leo Burnett, Ms. Bhakti
Prasad who is associated with AFCONS
Infrastructure Ltd. managing the HR, Development
& Administration functions, Mr.
Anand
Ramaswamy,
an
alumnus of SIMSR, 1997 batch,
currently working with ICICI and
Mr. Sanjeev Dixit, Chief People
Officer at Allied Blenders &
Distillers Pvt Ltd.
The event was a huge success.
We, on behalf of the entire Public
Relations Committee thank one
and all for their support and
presence in the event. We
promise to bring forth a plethora
of such learning opportunities in
future as well.
