FOCUS
The afternoon session was an elaborate
interactive talk between His Holiness and the
students on various topics like religion, politics and
national development. He elaborated on
secularism being not lack of religion but tolerance
for the religion of others and also that religious
institutions are becoming hypocritical economic
institutions. He discussed about his appeal for
Socialism and Marxism since they focus on
distributing wealth and equality. He commented on
China's development being great and that India
has the potential to grow too. He also said that he
was more concerned about problems created by
human beings like corruption than natural
disasters.
His Holiness The Dalai Lama’s four day visit to the
Somaiya Campus was an inspiring and enriching
experience for all who were privileged to attend the
event. His Holiness’s divine footprints has
sanctified the Somaiya Campus and we consider
ourselves blessed.
