Prof. (Dr.) Kirti Arekar has a Doctorate in Statistics and works in
the area of Quantitative Techniques, Research Methodology and
Operation Research at K.J Somaiya Institute of Management
Studies and Research. She is a Consultant to Lumiere Business
Solution, Mumbai. She has conducted several training programs
for corporate like BSE, BCCI, INS HAMALA, Lumiere and L&T
based on decision making by using several Software i.e. SPSS,
EXCEL, EXCEL Solver, Megastat, Minitab, SAS and QM3+ etc.
She has 275 Research publications in International and National
Journals. She has published two books internationally. She has
over fourteen years of experience working in academia.

Prof. (Dr.) Kirti Arekar was felicitated for the Best Paper Award by Global Economy and Finance Journal,
Canada, 2013-14 USA.
She is a recipient of the Best Teacher Award for Excellence in Research & Teaching from Higher
Education Forum in 2013.
She has received a Fellowship from World Business Institute, Melbourne, Australia in 2013-14.
Prof. (Dr.) Kirti Arekar has been conferred the Best Researcher award in higher education by in K.J.
Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai in 2014

Prof. Asha Bhatia is currently working as an Assistant Professor,
Entrepreneurship and General Management at K.J. Somaiya
Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai. She
holds a Masters Degree in Business Management with
specialization in Finance and Human Resources. She is pursuing
her Ph.D in Social Entrepreneurship.
Asha has a work experience of 16 yrs as an Administrator,
Lecturer and Counselor in the Social Sector. She has liasoned
with several Government Agencies like the Ministry of Health,
Education, Social Justice and Empowerment, Railways, Mumbai
Police etc. She has been a part of major Policy Changes in issues
related to Education, Employment and Accessibility.

Prof. Asha Bhatia won the Best Faculty Advisor Award at the National level, in the ENACTUS National
Competition, held at Taj Land's End on 1st & 2nd July, 2014.
She won the Sustainability and Leadership Award instituted by UNILEVER and this entitled her to visit
Beijing, China as the Unilever ambassador for the ENACTUS world cup.
Prof. Bhatia was also honored as 'Jewel Of Somaiya' at the Somaiya Foundation Day celebrations by Dr.
Raghuram Rajan on 16th September, 2014 for Outstanding Contribution To Community Initiatives from
across Somaiya Vidyavihar campus for the year 2013-14.
She won the Best Faculty Advisor award at Mahindra Rise Special Competition.
