UK bookmakers to change the face of traditional betting .
The Client ’ s Brief Best Gaming Technology ( BGT ) approached imageHOLDERS to create a custom betting terminal using tablet technology to be used within UK bookmaker , Coral . The kiosk brief emphasised the importance of security while remaining space efficient . BGT specified that the enclosure should securely hold a Flytech touchscreen alongside multiple OEM devices . imageHOLDERS worked closely with BGT and adapted to an evolving technical brief which resulted in the creation of the tablet Compact Kiosk .
The tablet Compact Kiosks consists of a Shell + 15 tablet enclosure securely holding a Flytech touchscreen and barcode scanner , with an under counter unit housing a contactless card reader , cash acceptor and receipt printer .
To ensure the Compact Kiosk is adaptable to different bookmaker ' s branding , the front panel and tablet enclosure bezel is fully brandable with magnetic graphics easily attached . imageHOLDERS Compact Kiosks are able to be displayed attached to a wall , on a podium or leaning rail providing versatility for smaller retail spaces with optional furniture designed by imageHOLDERS . They ' re much smaller than traditional betting machines , which are commonly restricted to being against a wall .
The Compact Kiosk has been designed to enhance the social atmosphere of betting shops . With a podium table , customers are able to socialise while placing bets , or use the leaning rail to place bets when viewing TV screens at an optimum height .

The Challenge Traditional betting machines rely on wall space , which leaves a large area within the centre of bookmakers vacant and underutilised . The Compact Kiosk can be freestanding , or mounted on a podium table with cable management which is not restricted to a wall space .
One of the key challenges facing the betting industry , is the amount of dead space created by betting terminals which need to be flush to walls . BGT and imageHOLDERS were challenged
