Team McMillan to become main sponsor of sport at King’ s College
The importance of team and individual sports in the development of today’ s younger generation cannot be understated. Its integration into the King’ s College four cornerstone approach to education is reflected in the College’ s Mind, Body, Spirit and Heart focus for all-round student development.
A healthy competitive spirit, resilience, fortitude, the values of teamwork, physical fitness, commitment and initiative are all foundation planks in the College’ s integrated sports policy- a key facet of its educational curriculum.
King’ s College has 28 different sports options available to students and each student is required to participate in both a winter and summer code. King’ s College recently approached Team McMillan BMW with a view to seeing if the Auckland luxury motor vehicle dealership group representing BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce would partner with King’ s College to assist in maintaining and improving its sports development programme.

As a result of this approach, Team McMillan has agreed to a minimum three-year sponsorship arrangement involving King’ s First and representative teams.
