Time to join Floreat Semper?
In 2000 Floreat Semper Fellowship was established by a group who felt there was a need to provide an opportunity for fellowship amongst senior members of the King’ s College community. In addition, it was envisaged as providing scope to maintain their life-long interest in, and association with, the College. Membership is open to Old Collegians, parents and staff members when reaching 70 years of age, on payment of a small annual registration fee of $ 10.00- or $ 100 for lifetime membership. Registration of membership is essential to ensure being advised of the two annual luncheons.
Currently two luncheons are held annually in the Old Collegians Pavilion during term time in March and September, when members have the opportunity to attend Chapel or Assembly, hear current musical talent, meet some of the prefects, and receive an update on College activities and progress from the Headmaster. The luncheons are very well attended by members, their wives and partners. With advance notice seating with special friends and groups can be arranged.
On Wednesday 6 March, the Floreat Semper Fellowship held the first of its two annual luncheons. Current practice allows for a Chapel service preceding the luncheon, which is followed by the AGM. In September the luncheon is preceded by Big Assembly at which time there is presentation of an Honours tie.
At the Floreat Semper AGM in March 2013 the following Committee for 2013 was elected: Chairman John Matthews( School 1949-53) Committee Andrew Chong( St John’ s 1952-56) David Frith( Parnell 1947-51)
Tim Kay
John Lavelle( Peart 1950-54) Rod McKay( Parnell 1955-59) Peter Wilson( School 1952-56)
