AROUND CAMPUS

Father-Son Dinner

“ The greatest resource you have is the person sitting next to you — your parents — and your teachers .”
Peter Antonucci ’ 73 , featured speaker at Saint David ’ s annual Seventh Grade Father-Son Dinner , focused his message to the boys and their dads on the importance of relying upon and collaborating with trusted people in life , and the strength of the Saint David ’ s connection . “ The people you are with now , your classmates , teachers , are the people you ’ ve spent most of your lives with ,” he said .
Peter spent many years as a successful commercial litigator in New York City . At age 52 , he retired from practicing law and embarked on an around-the-world adventure on a yacht . He has since written and published a series of “ Billionaires at Sea ” Murder Mystery Books . The boys loved hearing stories about his visits to Antarctica and encounters with pirate ships .
The greatest lesson taught by his adventurous travels ? “ Humility . I learned that nobody can do everything by themselves . You learn from everyone you meet , in particular from people you might not expect to learn from .”
