The Hobbit

The Desolation of smaug

This movie could easily be of any interest to all sorts of people, but mostly if you’re one of those who is into geek things like The Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Harry Potter, Star Trek, etc, you should definitely go and watch it. You’ll find the beginning of something that was one of the biggest trilogies in all movie history. Despite all the special effects that are used in it, we also have the amazing piece of art represented by the impressive make up used for the elves, dwarfs and ogres. In this movie we can also meet old characters that we might be able to recall from the Lord of the rings. This is the sequel of the first movie too so the plot consists basically of Bilbo Baggins (main role- The Hobbit) and the dwarfs trying to reach their precious castle they were looking for in the previous film (which is actually very important to watch if you haven’t because it’s an essential factor you’ll need to understand this one) that was taken by a horrible flying creature (Smaug).

I don’t want to give away too much information about it because it’s just something you must watch and telling you the story would ruin it but, I do have an interesting fact to add and that is that the voice of the Dragon who lives in the castle is played by Benedict Cumberbatch, a recognised British actor who went to Manchester University. So if you’re looking for something that helps you to improve your listening skills while having fun ,this is the perfect excuse to go and watch it, even though I’m not someone who likes these kind of stuff I can assure you it will catch your attention and you will be eager for more and more!
