BIG “ I ” NATIONAL HOSTED VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER FOR ROGER MARSHALL On August 26 , the Big “ I ” national association hosted at virtual insurance industry fundraiser for the Senate candidate Roger Marshall which raised $ 31K . Kansas was represented by Big “ I ” Chairman-elect Bob Fee at the event . The Big “ I ” is currently the only insurance industry group to serve on Dr . Marshall ’ s campaign steering committee . In addition , the federal PAC maximum contribution of $ 5,000 was made from InsurPac to each of his primary and general election races .
KAIA GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE MEETS TO DISTRIBUTE KIAPAC FUNDS The KAIA Government Affairs Committee has been hard at work determining the 2021 legislative priorities , communicating with the Kansas Insurance Department , and distributing KIAPAC funds for primary and general election races . In July and August , the GA Committee distributed nearly $ 35,000 from KIAPAC to candidates and legislators that support issues important to independent insurance agents . KAIA ’ s political power rests in the grassroots connections our members have with legislators throughout Kansas , and KIAPAC supports and boosts our collective voices .
