FEATURE
I interviewed each against our needs, but a key factor was aligning with E & O requirements. Our E & O provider gave us“ must-haves” and contract language to mitigate liability.
HOW DID THE PROVIDERS RESPOND TO THOSE REQUESTS?
Shepherd: Most wouldn’ t alter their agreements. Some offered modified language but failed to align with E & O requirements. However, one VA agreed to align their contract with the required E & O language, Lava Automation.
WHAT WAS YOUR NEXT FOCUS AFTER THE E & O DISCUSSION?
Shepherd: Finding a dedicated VA resource with insurance experience and reliable technology. Pricing across providers was consistent, so the scope of work became critical. Defining it clearly helps control both short- and long-term costs.
“
In the past, I’ ve spent weeks posting jobs, screening, and interviewing – with no hires to show for it. The goal was simple: reduce or eliminate as much unproductive recruiting activities as possible."
Chris Shepherd, AGC Insure
