Twenty-one new agencies joined KAIA this
membership year.
Six new companies enjoyed the competitive
advantage of joining the KAIA Industry Partner
Program.
We rolled out a new, streamlined website to make
information on our many value-added services

We negotiated with the Kansas Insurance Department
on a potential agent licensing bill, which would have
created an agent renewal licensing fee. KAIA worked
to reduce the proposed renewal fees saving Kansas
agents approximately $100K annually, or roughly
$300 annually per agency.
Prevented a bill that would put limitations on loans
agents could receive or give with customers.
Softened language that provides the KID with flexibility
in reducing agent fines associated with late surplus
lines tax filings.
Hosted legislators at KAIA headquarters on Monday
nights during the Legislative Session.

Served at the trusted source for guidance to help
agencies through this unique period in our country.
We worked with the Governor’s office to ensure that
insurance agencies were essential businesses and
could remain open to serve their customers.
