Tell us about SECURA. SECURA is a mutual, property and casualty insurance company. We’ re known for taking excellent care of policyholders by offering relevant insurance solutions, sharing safety resources, and handling claims fairly and promptly. Policyholders appreciate the personal and compassionate service they receive. In fact, the company receives a“ Perfect 10” more often than not in claims surveys. In addition to Kansas, SECURA serves 11 other states including Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
What plans do you have in Kansas? While SECURA has been operating in Kansas since 1996, we are ready to take it to a higher level. Through the Agency Services Corporation of Kansas, our doors will soon be wide open for KAIA members to write Specialty and Commercial artisan contractor business throughout the state.
What makes your company unique and how might the association’ s partnership with SECURA help our members? SECURA has a broader product offering than is currently available to some small to medium agencies in Kansas, with all the benefits of writing business with an admitted carrier. Commercial and Specialty Lines customers benefit from our Workers’ Compensation Nurse Hotline and Crisis Care. These unique services set us apart from other carriers, a leverage point to attract and retain business. In addition to artisan contractors, we’ re looking to grow our specialty contractors, human services, special events, sports and recreation business, and more.
What are SECURA’ s future plans? SECURA is poised for growth in Kansas and beyond. To this end, we will continue devoting resources to people, products, and technology to stay in step with the dynamic market. We also broke ground in 2017 on a new headquarters near our current location in Wisconsin.
