fficient and user-friendly. Those are key
elements in the redesign of the Kansas
Insurance Department’s (KID) website, located
online at www.ksinsurance.org. The redesign
went live earlier this spring.
• A featured video screen, which allows viewing of current
KID-produced insurance informational videos
• A prominent Help section, with links to frequentlysought information
I think agents and companies will especially find the
homepage easier to navigate because many of the
elements you use when you visit our site will be available
in a drop-down format for easier retrieval. This is also true
of our publications, which many of you distribute to your
customers. They are readily available in drop-down form
for desktop printing.
Also included on the homepage are icons linking to
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube items produced by KID;
an icon to receive email notices of KID news; and links to
the State of Kansas and National Association of Insurance
Commissioners websites.
The new KID homepage provides text and graphics that
will quickly take users to other areas on the site through
easily-navigated design elements. We reviewed ideas
from a variety of sites throughout the United States and
adapted them into a friendly design for our website users.
Featured on the new homepage are the following:
• Document Forms drop-down boxes for online services,
publications and forms +
