The first part of the class explores the role of ethics in the workers compensation industry, ethical boundaries, and provides guidelines for underwriting, claim reporting and handling, and premium audit. The second part of the class will cover the basic principles of risk and risk management, how experience mods are calculated and how they are incorporated into the underwriting strategy. Both workers compensation classes will be taught by Brian Nash of BerkleyNet. He has more than ten years of experience underwriting workers compensation. Nash has worked throughout the industry with companies such as AmComp, AmTrust and BerkleyNet, where he currently oversees the underwriting group as Team Lead.
