Agents may choose to attend one or both of our two-part class on
workers compensation. There will be a one-hour lunch break in
between the two classes. Lunch is on your own. The first part of
the class explores the role of ethics in the workers compensation
industry, ethical boundaries, and provides guidelines for
underwriting, claim reporting and handling, and premium audit.
The second part of the class will cover the basic principles of risk
and risk management, how experience mods are calculated and
how they are incorporated into the underwriting strategy.
Both workers compensation classes will be taught by Brian
Nash of BerkleyNet. He has more than ten years of experience
underwriting workers compensation. Nash has worked
throughout the industry with companies such as AmComp,
AmTrust and BerkleyNet, where he currently oversees the
underwriting group as Team Lead. He is a graduate of Marquette
University and has been teaching CE since 2013.
