Summer series classes to
cover flood, work comp

AIA will host two special topic classes this year as
part of its Summer Series. The Summer Series
is designed to provide agents with continuing
education on timely topics affecting the industry.
This year’s courses will focus on flood and workers
compensation. Both classes will be hosted at the KAIA office
in Topeka. The flood course is also available to take via livestreaming at your own computer.
2015 Flood & Mapping updates

Learn everything you need to know about flood, including
premiums caps, fees and surcharges, minimum deductibles,
increased optional deductibles, what’s covered and not
covered, property newly mapped into the SFHA, the
transition to full-risk rates, the Community Rating System
(CRS) and much more. Plus, ask your questions and get
expert advice during this two-hour class on the National
Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
The flood class will be taught by Ally Bishop who is the
Regional Manager for Region VII with NFIP. Bishop has
worked with flood insurance for more than 15 years,
and has been in her current position with FEMA’s NFIP
program for the past four years.
