ACTIVITY 1: THE CHILDREN'S CHARTER Show and discuss the Children's Charter Children's Charter The Children's Charter was written by many children all over the world, which lists children's rights. : You have the same rights, no matter what your race, colour, gender, abilities, religion, nationality or political or social background. : You have the right to have your views listened to and taken seriously. : You have the right to be brought up in your own family, wherever possible. : You have the right to be given the chance to make the best of your abilities. : You have the right to be safe and secure. : You have the right to be treated as a person in your own right. We have a break halfway through the session, during which the children can go to the bathroom.
