Scotiabank Marathon Trick-Or-Treat UNICEF “For the annual Trick-or-Treat for Unicef event, Keyclubbers “It was my first time volunteering for the Scotiabank marathon and it was a very fun experience. It was a cold and rainy day, but I didn`t really mind it because it was a great inspiration to see so many people running despite the weather. I was helping out with the water station for the event; we filled up a lot of cups and stacked them in layers so that it was ready to be hand out right away. While volunteering I was able to talk to people that I normally would not hang out with. This was a great opportunity for me to meet new people and step outside of my usual circle of friends. Overall I had a great time, and would definitely do this event again next year! ” - Joanne Tan, Member and Circle K members from the University of Toronto decided to collaborate and collect donations together. We arrived at a Kiwanis advisors’ house and Trick-or-Treated around their neighborhood until 9pm. After that we gathered back at the Kiwanians’ home for a dinner and a social, where we also counted the total amount we raised for Unicef which was $337.50.” - Galinna Lo, Co-President of U of T Circle K Awards Assembly “Volunteering for the awards assembly was an overall enjoyable experience, I had the honour of watching my friends and fellow students get recognized and rewarded for their hard work the previous year while providing services to the school. I helped out at the assembly by handing out programs and leading the family and friends of those who received awards to the auditorium. Also watching my friends receive awards also inspired me to work harder in school so that maybe my work will one day be recognized. ” - Timothy Ly, Member Mix-It-Up Lunch “Thanks to our awesome members, Harbord's mix it up lunch was a great success! If you didn't get the chance to swing by, we put our own twist on a carnival game. To answer the question, "What does key club do?", KEY Club cut out a board with the two correct answers and a few others to challenge our players. The objective was to get a bean bag in either the leadership or volunteering hole to win. ” - Janice Da. Silva, Secretary
