Math Night at Essex “ Math night at Essex was overall super fun. I really enjoyed getting to teach the kids (4-10 year olds) and a few adults the game at my station. During this event, each volunteer was responsible for teaching and supervising the math game at their station. At my station, we played a game called "Albert's Insomnia". It was a number card game using multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. This game was simple and fun. It engaged the kids and the adults. This night was educational yet fun. The turnout was amazing. I would definitely volunteer for this event again next year! “ - Vivien Hoang, JVP Bulletin Board Redesign Race Roster Run “ I'm so glad I volunteered for the Race Roster! It was the perfect weather and everyone was in such a positive mood. They provided us with course marshal safety vests which made our role seem very professional and snacks that got me energized to cheer on the runners and walkers! I also thought that it was great how the runners collected pledges in support of cancer research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. I will definitely be volunteering for this race again. “ “ After 2 years, we decided it was about time to change the Key Club bulletin board that is right in front of the main office. We put many pictures of all the events we did this year as well as all of the awards we won during the district convention! With the help of everyone the board was done in no time. I strongly encourage students to go take a look! “ - Arlene So, Bulletin Editor - Mei Yi Huang, Treasurer Lovely Spring Run “ Before the lovely spring run, some of my friends decided to carpool with me. They where grouchy and tired but once we got there everyone started to feel more energetic. I was working at the sign up table so I got to meet some students from the key club at Parkdale. Overall it was an exciting experience and I would recommend more people sign up next year as it is a great experience. “ - Breanna Seto
