Year 2 Painshill Park Our day in the forest at Painshill Park was packed full of fun and adventure! Our main activity was Bivouac Building, which put our creativity, perseverance and teamwork skills to the test. But don’t worry—there was plenty of time left for games, a treasure hunt and playing with our friends. On a lovely, sunny day I went with my excited classmates to Painshill Park! The best thing I did was building dens. We found lots of sticks that we spread out on top of the den. To see if it was waterproof, we went in our den and the lady poured water on us. I got soaked! Sylvie I loved Painshill Park. First we crossed the bridge and had a snack. Then we ran in the field and saw a forest behind us. Next we made dens in the woods. Some dens were small and could just fit a hedgehog. Other dens were bigger. The lady from Painshill Park tested if the dens were waterproof and everybody got wet except for Freddie. I enjoyed making the dens and it made me feel happy. Niko Making dens was hard work but it was great fun. We had to work as a team. We made the den out of twigs and leaves. It had to be waterproof, warm, cosy, and very strong. We had an epic day out! Zac S 19
