Year 6

Flying

Stride 2018
The culmina on of 5 weeks work was realised during the Spring Term for Year 6 , with the Stride enterprise fair hi ng the st
playground on Wednesday 21 March . The children had spent the weeks leading up to this crea ng a mini business , learning how to manage money , people and products effec vely . There were 6 mini businesses selling a variety of produce from colourful popcorn to bath bombs and slime . The children worked relessly to create a marke ng plan , which they presented to a panel of teachers and the en re school , together with their projected profits .
At the fair , the sun came out and the children flocked to the playground to see what Year 6 had in store for them . There were bright colours aplenty , loud music and costumes all on show , as pupils in the school spent their money on the products . Year 6 learnt how to manage their stock , money and used some powerful persuasion to get the community to part with their pennies . Prizes were won in raffles , and the children enjoyed the different stalls on offer , especially the nerf guns and the teachers who could be shot !
The fair was a huge success and the children raised a whopping profit of £ 723.56 for the school charity . Well done to all stalls ! A huge success !
