DODGE CHALLENGER
The Dodge Silver Challenger was produced from 1958 to 1959 but it was a limited edition. It only came in silver paint. It was a long two-door body style and it had a 325 cubic inch (5.3L) V8 engine. In 1970 the second Generation Challenger was released described as the answer for the Mustang and Camaro. Introduced in Fall 1969.The challenger RT had the Classic 'HEMI' 383 cubic inch 6.23 L V8 engine and the regular Challenger had the 6 Cylinder Engine. For the 1970, the optional engines included the 340 and 383 cu in (5.6 and 6.3 L) as well as the 440 and 426 cu in (7.2 and 7.0L) V8s. In 1970 a special Challenger edition came to the market. It was The Challenger T/A (Trans Am) with a 7.3L V8 engine and around 340 HP. This Challenger T/A was invented to race in the sports Car Club of America's Trans American Sedan Championship Trans Am . But Dodge also built a street version of its race car with a little bit more of luxury including dual exhausts, leather black or yellow seats, being the most expensive Challenger of all. Today's Challenger Hellcat is the best Challenger created until the Challenger Demon releases. The Hellcat has the 6.4 L HEMI supercharged V8 engine making 707 HP. It takes 3.6 seconds to get to 60 MPH and finishes the ¼ of mile in 11.58 seconds. In November 2017 Dodge is going to launch their new beast, the Challenger DEMON. This is going to be the fastest Challenger of all making the ¼ of mile in only 9.65 seconds at a speed of 140 MPH! And having a 6.2 liter V8 supercharged engine with 840 HP, and making the 60 MPH in 2.6 seconds and 100 MPH in 5.2 seconds.
