Across numerous new projects completed at seven distribution centers over the past year and a half , we have continued demonstrating our high priority for energy efficiency and reducing our carbon footprint . We have installed high-efficiency lighting , HVAC , refrigeration , and controls equipment . That has preserved over 24,000,000 annual kWh of electricity , which is enough to power over 2,000 residential homes .

As a reward for KeHE ’ s energy policies , local utilities have awarded incentives to KeHE totaling more than $ 1,000,000 .

Instead of cardboard , 65 % of our orders are packed in reuseable totes servicing retailers like MOM ’ s Organic Market .	Our energy efficiency projects yield $ 1 million in rebates and savings .	Our new conveyor systems in our Bloomington DC utilize a decentralized low voltage drive system which goes into ‘ sleep ’	5 LEED Certified Distribution Centers .
