Technology
Overview
Many innovations in the financial industry are indeed driven by
advances in Information Technology and Information Systems.
The globalised landscape of the financial industry means financial
and investment analysts need to possess a high level of analytical
and technical skills in order to stand out. In such an environment,
graduates wit h skills across Finance and Information Technology
are much sought after in both industry and government. Our MSc
programme in Finance and Information Technology prepares you
for an exciting career in financial services, banking and information
systems. Our MSc Finance and I.T. course is designed to provide
a systematic understanding of finance together with the technical
ability and professional skills to help work with, manage and
develop information systems within a financial organisation.
Typical career destinations of those completing the course include
corporate treasury functions (such as cash management or capital
budgeting) and other financial management functions. Some graduates
are employed in the management, control, design or development
of information systems within these sectors.

Second semester indicative choice of elective modules:
• International Money and Finance
• Corporate Finance
• Applied Finance
• Web Technology and Security
• Cloud Computing
You will also complete a Dissertation.
