Why Keele and natural sciences?
Here at Keele, you will be taught by leading experts and
researchers across a range of disciplines. Our staff work across
multiple subject areas, but are close-knit and that is great for
cross-fertilisation of knowledge and ideas. We also have fantastic
links with the global academic community, the public sector
and industry. It’s no wonder then, that we are renowned for
our world-leading interdisciplinary research that enables us
to deliver cutting-edge teaching in so many areas.
Why postgraduate study?
A postgraduate programme is a challenging experience that
takes you beyond simply knowing information. It enables our
students to learn how to think strategically, to solve complex
problems and to understand the implications of their science.
This level of deeper thinking opens doors to careers in research,
specialist areas and leadership and management in international
organisations ranging from industry to public sector.

and international reputation for certain areas of study
which provide students with numerous interesting
and stimulating study options
Why postgraduate study?
Postgraduate Medicine has focused on its strengths of
leadership, Medical Education and Anatomical Science.
Our modules allow students to progress their study
and research skills and add value to the competency
based learning so often encountered in the postgraduate
medical setting. The department collaborates with
its neighbours in the University e.g. the internationally
renowned Arthritis Research Council research institute
and with the Medical Education research programme
at the Medical school, to bring the best research and
statistics teaching to every student.
Leadership training engages an array of nationally
recognised specialists to enrich the diversity, quality
and practical application of module content as
illustrated in the feedback from the courses.
The Anatomical Science suite has facilitated a growing
number of intercalating students to enjoy studying
in a state of the art dissection and anatomy facility.
All postgraduate and intercalating students are
actively encouraged and supported to publish and
present at conferences.
